Info Post

I bet there is no shortage of Red Sox fans who would line up in the freezing cold outside Fenway Park to have the chance at washing Coakley’s mouth out with soap for calling Curt Schilling a Yankee’s fan.

While some would say that Coakley's latest gaffe is a trivial thing, it is just another example of how completely out of touch she is about her own state.  How can you represent a state when you are so ignorant of the very things that makes that state special?  Even if Coakley wasn’t fully aware of what team Curt Schilling played for (hard to believe, I know), surely she must have known about the intense rivalry between the Red Sox and the Yankees and that guessing wrong would make BIG news.

The problem with Coakley is that she is an elitist. She inhabits a world that is completely disconnected from the masses. In her world, the Sox/ Yankee rivalry is something that the “little people” obsess about. In her world greeting voters outside Fenway Park is consider a ridiculous thing to do.

If we truly want to have real representation from our elected officals, then we need to elect people who truly understand our world and that means caring about the same things we do.

"I've been called a lot of things...but never, I mean never, could anyone make the mistake of calling me a Yankee fan. Well, check that, if you didn't know what the hell is going on in your own state maybe you could..."
