Congressional Democrats are starting to blame Rahm Emanuel for ObamaCare’s failure. Centrist Democrats blame Rahm for not trying to work with enough Republicans and progressive Democrats are blaming Rahm for allowing Max Baucus and the Senate Finance Committee to waste so much time. The Hill reports even a few more reasons why the Democrats are blaming Rahm.
What is pretty telling from The Hill’s story is that none of the Congressional Democrats are blaming the policies put forth. Even the Scott Brown victory has not opened their eyes to the simple fact that Americans hated the policies of the bill.
Think about this for a second, the American people hated every healthcare bill put out by both the House and Senate Democrats. No bill had the majority of Americans supporting it. Yet, these Democrats are now blaming Rahm for not getting the final bill passed. Given how much the American people hated the final bill, the Democrats should be eternally grateful that Rahm screwed up otherwise they would be in a much worse position going into 2010.
