From The Hill:
Despite the incident, which rocked international headlines last week, climate science is sound, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed this afternoon, and the White House nonetheless believes "climate change is happening."
"I don't think that's anything that is, quite frankly, among most people, in dispute anymore," he said during Monday's press briefing.

"I think there's no real scientific basis for the dispute of this," responded Gibbs to questions about those scientists' credibility.
Talk about not in touch with reality. A read though of the email [all of them can be found here] shows a clear pattern of deception from the global warming scientist. Many on the left will try to sugar coat the emails, but any sane person reading them will say they scream deception. The dumping of the original data only makes things worse.
Before America borrows and spends billions if not trillions more on climate change, one would think we would want to make absolutely sure there is not fraud being perpetrated. After all we are spending the money of future generations.
What I also find surprising about Gibbs statement is that it shows complete deafness to criticisms of this administration’s own credibility. After promising that the stimulus would keep unemployment at 8%, the administration’s word is on shaky grounds with the American people. How will it look if this administration throws away billions on Cap and Trade only to find out that climate change was a fraud.
