Info Post

From the Washington Examiner:

ACORN executives have also changed their organization’s name, which was tarnished by investigations in at least 14 states of allegations of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign, and charges by current and former members of financial mismanagement and misrepresentation. ...

... In fact, the process has already begun, she noted. Wade Rathke, who founded the organization, announced on his blog that ACORN International has officially changed its name to “Community Organizations International.”

Glenn Beck totally called this last week on his show. Beck said that when the heat got too much for ACORN, they would simply change their name in an attempt to distance themselves from the current scandals.

Makes no difference what they call themselves, too many people on the right are keeping a close eye on them and are beyond curious about all ACORN’s various relationships. How much you want to bet Michele Bachmann is already on to them?
UPDATE:
What did I tell you! From Michele Bachmann's blog at Townhall.com:

Recently, ACORN International, which works in 12 countries across the world, has switched their name to "Community Organizations International." Apparently, being investigated in 14 states for voter registration fraud and facing repeated accusations by ACORN board members of financial mismanagement will inevitably take its toll on an organization’s image. It will be interesting to see if ACORN as a whole takes on a new name as well....

It is great to know that there is at least one person in Washington who is on top of this shady organization 24/7. Go Bachmann!
