Info Post

As many on the left leap with joy and some on the right morn the end of Palin’s political career, I see something different.

After reading her entire speech, I think Sarah Palin has set herself free. Free to do what she want and if I catch her drift correctly, she is now free to challenge what is going on in Washington not as a governor but as a citizen.

Prior to today, Sarah Palin was boxed in. She was held back in Alaska by bogus ethics charges and petty partisan politics. These two things also kept her time in the national spotlight limited. In addition, as a governor she isn’t free to say just anything, like she would have love to have said to David Letterman.

Now freed from being governor, Palin can use her star power in several ways. She can take to the national scene and speak out strongly against liberal policies that she clearly sees as ruining our nation. She can present herself not as a Republican governor but as a concerned American.

By doing this she can easily gain support for her own presidential run or she can use that support to exert much needed influence on the Republican Party and move it back to its conservative roots.

Either way, Palin liberated herself today and she is now free to tear the bark off the Obama administration, Congress or even the Republican Party.
